WordCamp Seattle

If you have a website based in WordPress don’t miss this all-day conference for only $20 including lunch, on Saturday, June 28 at the UW. Tickets sell fast. They’re also looking for volunteers, who get in free. If you have a truck and time on Friday, June 27, let me know and we could work together to pickup food supplies for the event.

There have been a lot of changes in the WordPress world lately with a new release of WordPress followed quickly by updates of all major plug-ins. It’s imperative to keep up with these changes for security reasons. And occasionally updates will change how something looks or functions or may even fail to work with other plug-ins. That part of what I take care of for you with your managed hosting. Feel free to let me know if you ever have any questions or problems.

New site launched

I recently launched a new site for a fellow tandem enthusiast in the Eugene area. Debbie Sorensen just completed her training as a health coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her business is called Better Health Better Life.

Bouncing emails?

I’ve had several clients recently report they’re having issues with emails bouncing that come from Hotmail and Microsoft Live. This is NOT a problem with our hosting or email rather it is an issue with theirs! We use SpamCop to block spam mail and sometimes they get put on the list. This usually only lasts 24-48 hours then they are cleared. Whenever you see emails bouncing it’s important to read the error message. It will tell you if the recipient’s email box is full, perhaps typed incorrectly, or being blocked as spam.
